We acknowledge the Djab Wurrung and Jardwadjali people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which the gallery and gardens are located. We honour their ongoing care and connection to the lands and waters of Gariwerd, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

End & Being

Jacobus Capone

Australia’s first space dedicated to the exploration of environmental art.

Like the environment itself, our ideas and art are ever-changing and evolving. Exploring meditations on the natural world, we represent a meeting point of diverse artistic practices and environmental narratives. Imagine interdisciplinary approaches, nuanced perspectives and a spirit of inquiry or, even better, come and experience it for yourself.

Our major indoor gallery space is the National Centre for Environmental Art, although there’s plenty more to see and do around the site.
